Weather Takes a U-Turn in Rajasthan: Bright Sunshine Brings Relief, New Update on Fog and Cold Conditions

Jaipur: After several days of cloudy skies and mild winter chill, Rajasthan is finally witnessing a noticeable change in weather. With the impact of the western disturbance completely fading away, the skies across the state have cleared, allowing bright sunshine to dominate many regions.

On Wednesday, strong sunlight in Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Ajmer, and several other districts brought significant relief to residents who had been battling cold conditions in recent days.

Sunshine Dominates Western and Central Rajasthan

While western and central parts of Rajasthan experienced clear skies and sharp sunshine throughout the day, the overall winter discomfort reduced considerably. The change in weather has been welcomed by people, especially in cities where temperatures had dropped due to cloud cover and cold winds.

Fog Continues to Affect Eastern Rajasthan

However, the situation remains different in eastern Rajasthan. The Bharatpur division, including areas such as Bharatpur, Dholpur, and Alwar, continues to experience fog and haze.

According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate fog is likely to persist in these areas for the next two to three days, especially during morning and afternoon hours.

In terms of temperature, Alwar recorded a maximum temperature of 23.2°C, while Karauli registered 22.1°C, indicating that the daytime temperatures remain moderate despite foggy conditions.

Northern Winds to Keep Winter Chill Alive

The Jaipur Meteorological Centre has stated that northern winds will remain active throughout the week. While sunny weather is expected during daytime, the cold winds during night and early morning hours may continue to cause a strong chill across the state.

The department has also predicted that the weather will remain dry and clear for the next 3–4 days, with no major rainfall activity expected.

Cold Wave Expected to Ease After This Week

Meteorological experts have indicated that a gradual improvement is likely from next week onwards. As the speed of northern winds decreases, minimum temperatures are expected to rise, offering long-term relief from harsh early morning and night-time cold.

Overall, Rajasthan appears to be slowly moving away from intense winter conditions, heading towards a more pleasant and spring-like climate.
