‘We Will Give a Befitting Reply’: Pinky Chaudhary Throws Open Challenge to Ghaziabad Police in Shalimar Garden Sword Distribution Case

The controversy surrounding the alleged distribution of swords in the Shalimar Garden area of Ghaziabad has intensified, with Hindu Raksha Dal national president Pinky Chaudhary issuing an open warning to the police and administration. As police continue raids to arrest the remaining accused, Chaudhary has released videos accusing the authorities of wrongful action and vowing a “befitting reply.”

According to police, a stall was set up in the Shalimar Garden area where members of Hindu Raksha Dal allegedly distributed swords while raising religious slogans. Taking cognisance of the incident, the Ghaziabad police registered a case naming 16 individuals, arrested 10 of them, and recovered eight dilapidated swords from the spot. Efforts are underway to arrest Pinky Chaudhary and other absconding accused.

Amid the crackdown, two videos released by Chaudhary have gone viral on social media. In a video lasting over a minute, he claims that false cases have been registered against members of his organisation. Appealing for support from “Sanatanis,” Chaudhary alleged that the administration was deliberately targeting Hindu Raksha Dal workers. “This is the army of Guru Gobind Singh. We are not the ones who retreat,” he said, warning that upon his return, he would respond strongly to the government and administration.

Chaudhary further asserted that the swords were distributed to “strengthen families” and not to incite violence or kill anyone. He also claimed that false cases had been lodged against his children as part of a conspiracy to harass him.

Responding to the allegations, DCP (Trans-Hindon Area) Nimish Patil clarified that a case had been registered against Pinky Chaudhary in accordance with the law. He stated that Chaudhary’s daughters were called to the police station only for questioning and were later sent home. “The allegation of illegal detention is completely baseless,” the DCP said.

However, the matter took a more serious turn on Monday when Pinky Chaudhary’s daughter Karuna Chaudhary addressed a press conference and levelled grave allegations against the police. She claimed that she and her sister were kept in illegal custody for nearly ten hours, threatened with false cases, and warned that their father would be ruined. Karuna alleged that they were subjected to indecent behaviour at the police station, their mobile phones were seized, and their personal chats were read.

She further accused the police of accessing personal photos and videos from her phone gallery. Supporting her claims, individuals present at the press conference, including Mahesh Ahuja, Gaurav, Manish Hindu and Sanket Katara, criticised the authorities, stating that while political parties speak of protecting the dignity of daughters, the police were allegedly harassing and humiliating them.

As the situation continues to escalate, the case has taken on political and social overtones, with sharp allegations and counter-allegations flying between the police and the organisation. The Ghaziabad police maintain that the action taken is strictly as per law, while further investigation into the incident remains underway.
