Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is set to give a major development push to Siwan district today as part of his ongoing ‘Samriddhi Yatra’ (Prosperity Tour). During a grand public event at the historic Rajendra Stadium, the Chief Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of 71 development projects worth over ₹202 crore.
The district administration has completed all security and logistical arrangements for the mega event, which is expected to witness large public participation. The Chief Minister will also interact directly with citizens through a ‘Jan Samvad’ (public dialogue), aimed at understanding grassroots issues and reviewing the progress of development initiatives.
71 Projects to Boost Infrastructure and Public Services
Out of the total ₹202 crore projects, 40 new schemes worth ₹157 crore will be laid today, paving the way for transformative changes in the district’s infrastructure. Additionally, 31 completed projects constructed at a cost of ₹45 crore will be formally inaugurated and dedicated to the public.
Officials said these projects span key sectors such as roads, education, healthcare, and basic civic amenities, and are expected to significantly improve the quality of life for residents.
Rajendra Stadium Turned Into a Mega Venue
Rajendra Stadium has been extensively prepared for the high-profile programme. The entire venue has been upgraded and secured, with elaborate arrangements made for seating, crowd management, and safety. The administration has deployed adequate personnel to ensure the event proceeds smoothly without any disruption.
During the programme, the Chief Minister will highlight the government’s achievements and future roadmap while addressing public concerns raised during the interaction.
Strengthening the Foundation of Development
The Samriddhi Yatra is being seen as a major step towards reinforcing Bihar’s development agenda at the district level. The projects announced for Siwan are expected to strengthen its social and economic framework, offering direct benefits to youth, farmers, and local communities.
