
Dehradun/Ramnagar: A spine-chilling moment unfolded in Amanagarh Tiger Reserve, Bijnor, when a tusker elephant suddenly chased a jeep carrying tourists on a jungle safari. The incident, captured on video, has gone viral on social media, sending shivers down viewers’ spines.
The footage shows tourists enjoying a safari when a massive tusker emerged from the forest and began running after their jeep. Alarmed by the approaching elephant, the tourists shouted repeatedly at the driver, urging him to speed up. One female tourist can be heard pleading, “Run, please… the elephant is coming!”
Driver shows presence of mind
Displaying calm and courage, the jeep driver maintained control, keeping a safe distance from the aggressive elephant while moving the vehicle forward. Nature guide Rishabh explained that such encounters are not uncommon during jungle safaris. Understanding animal behavior is crucial, and trained drivers know how to navigate safely without provoking the wildlife.

The entire encounter was recorded on mobile phones by the tourists and quickly spread across social media. People have praised the driver and guide for their quick thinking and experience in ensuring the safety of the passengers.
