Video Controversy Escalates: Atishi Accuses Kapil Mishra of Spreading Lies

New Delhi: Delhi Assembly’s Leader of Opposition, Atishi, has accused Minister Kapil Mishra of spreading falsehoods and disrespecting religious leaders in the ongoing video controversy. She alleged that the BJP’s claims are politically motivated and that Mishra has a habit of lying.

Speaking to the media for the first time in the Assembly regarding the matter, Atishi said Mishra edited videos, invoked religious figures, and used their names for political gains, showing blatant disrespect for Gurus.

Pattern of Falsehoods:
Atishi highlighted Mishra’s history of making false claims, for which he had previously apologized in court. She rejected BJP’s allegations that she insulted Sikh Gurus, calling them “baseless and malicious.”

She said, “My family and I have unshakable faith in Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib and Sikh Gurus. During the farmers’ protests, the BJP had maligned Sikh demonstrators as ‘Khalistani,’ and today, by appointing leaders like Kapil Mishra, they are exposing their hatred for the Sikh community.”

Atishi also recalled Mishra’s previous false claim that he personally saw Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal taking money, for which he had to apologize in court. She accused him of repeating similar lies even today.
