The Vande Bharat Express is set to operate between Muzaffarpur, Bihar, and New Delhi, promising a significant reduction in travel time. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav confirmed the approval for the semi-high-speed train, following persistent efforts by Central Minister Rajbhushan Nishad and the request of Muzaffarpur MP and Minister of Jal Shakti, Dr. Rajbhushan Chaudhary.
The new service aims to connect Muzaffarpur and the national capital more efficiently, reducing the journey from over 18 hours by conventional trains to just 5–6 hours. Although the official schedule has yet to be finalized, preparations are underway to launch the service in the near future.
Passenger Convenience at the Forefront
Dr. Chaudhary suggested that the train depart in the evening from both Muzaffarpur and Delhi, allowing passengers to reach their destinations by the next morning. This arrangement will be particularly beneficial for residents of Muzaffarpur and surrounding areas in North Bihar, offering a faster, more comfortable alternative to existing train services.
Local Excitement and Appreciation
The announcement has been met with widespread enthusiasm among local residents. Social workers and community members expressed their gratitude to the Railway Minister and Dr. Chaudhary for facilitating the service. Many highlighted the previous long travel times to Delhi and welcomed the upcoming Vande Bharat Express as a major convenience.
The introduction of this semi-high-speed train is expected to significantly improve connectivity between Bihar and the national capital, enhancing travel comfort and efficiency for thousands of daily commuters and long-distance travelers.
