Dehradun: Uttarakhand is currently experiencing dry weather, and meteorologists expect the same conditions to persist for the next few days. While daytime temperatures feel relatively warm due to strong sunlight, nighttime chills are causing discomfort and health concerns among residents.
Daytime Warmth, Nighttime Chill
Across all districts of Uttarakhand, clear skies and bright sun are keeping daytime temperatures higher than usual, reducing the perception of cold during the day. However, early mornings and evenings remain significantly cold, leading to health issues such as coughs, colds, sore throats, and other viral infections across all age groups. The variation between warm afternoons and cold mornings/evenings is putting extra strain on people’s immunity, especially among the elderly and children.
Plains vs Hills
While the plains of Uttarakhand are experiencing mild winters with less cold, the hilly regions remain chilly, and residents are still using warm clothing despite sunny afternoons. Recent snowfall in the mountains has maintained cold conditions, though the lack of rain in recent days has kept temperatures fairly stable in the plains.
Temperature Forecast
