Rudrapur, Uttarakhand: In a shocking incident near Rudrapur, a Class 7 student was allegedly beaten severely by a teacher, resulting in serious injuries to his eye and ear. The boy, 13, had to undergo surgery at Delhi’s AIIMS, and concerns remain about permanent damage to his vision.
Injuries and Treatment
The student was admitted to AIIMS on October 11, and on October 21, he underwent surgery on his ear. His left eye, which sustained retinal damage, is still awaiting surgical intervention. The boy’s father, Ram Kumar, expressed fear that even after treatment, his son may never regain full vision in the injured eye.
Incident Details
According to Ram Kumar, the incident traces back to September 9, when his son got into an argument with another student at school. The teacher, identified as Satish Prajapati from KSS Children Academy, allegedly slapped the boy multiple times, causing severe injuries to his left eye and bleeding from the ear.
Teacher Denies Allegations
Satish Prajapati has denied all allegations, claiming the child may have been injured while flying kites at home. He further alleged that the boy’s parents were demanding money under the pretext of medical treatment. Prajapati stated that he is ready to cooperate fully with any investigation.
The incident has sparked outrage among parents and the local community, raising serious concerns over student safety and discipline practices in schools.
