Youth Shut Down Liquor Shop on Premanand Maharaj’s Pilgrimage Route Following Appeal by Dhirendra Shastri

Mathura: A liquor shop located on the daily pilgrimage route of Premanand Maharaj in Vrindavan was shut down by local youth following an appeal by Bagheshwar Dham chief Dhirendra Krishna Shastri. The incident has gone viral on social media, highlighting the growing influence of public initiatives on community ethics.

Premanand Maharaj’s Nightly Pilgrimage
Premanand Maharaj walks from his residence to Kunj Ashram every night at 2 AM. The liquor shop, situated along this route, had raised concerns among spiritual leaders about its presence in the path of a revered saint.

Appeal Leads to Action
Dhirendra Shastri had publicly requested that the shop be closed during the Sanatan Hindu Unity Pilgrimage, emphasizing that it was inappropriate for a liquor outlet to operate on the route of a respected spiritual leader. Local youth responded promptly to this appeal.

Shop Sealed by Youth
On Monday morning, a group of young volunteers reached the shop, dispersed customers, and pulled down its shutters. The youth stated that they would not tolerate any activity they considered immoral along the saint’s pilgrimage path.

Official Response Pending
The liquor shop remains closed as of now, and local authorities have not yet issued any official statement regarding the incident.
