Mathura | By Jyoti Sharma: The Mathura district administration and police have gone on high alert ahead of the upcoming Sanatan Hindu Ekta Padayatra, led by Bageshwar Dham Peethadhishwar Dhirendra Shastri. With thousands of devotees expected to join the spiritual march, elaborate security and crowd management arrangements have been made to ensure smooth movement and public safety.
According to officials, the padayatra will enter Uttar Pradesh from the Haryana border at Kosi Kalan on November 13. Given its proximity to the UP-Haryana-Rajasthan tri-junction, the turnout could reach up to one lakh devotees, officials estimate. To handle this massive gathering, the entire stretch has been divided into 8 zones and 18 security sectors.
Over 3,000 police personnel, including senior officers and special forces, will be deployed along the route. SP (Rural) Sureshchand Rawat confirmed that Local Intelligence Unit (LIU) teams have been activated to monitor any suspicious movement or potential threat inputs. “All units are on standby to ensure a peaceful and orderly event,” he said.
The first halt point in UP will be at the Anaj Mandi ground, which will be under 24-hour CCTV surveillance. Tent installations, food stalls, and accommodation arrangements are in full swing for the arriving devotees. To avoid traffic congestion, the administration has also planned diversion routes for local commuters.
Officials emphasized that every measure — from crowd control to medical aid and emergency response — is being taken to ensure the Sanatan Hindu Ekta Padayatra proceeds peacefully and without inconvenience to the public.
