Noida Cloud Kitchen Fined ₹5 Lakh for Hygiene and Safety Violations


Noida, UP: The Noida Authority has imposed a hefty fine of ₹5 lakh on a cloud kitchen in Safarbadi Village, Sector-72, after inspectors found serious violations of hygiene standards and improper use of single-use plastics. The action was taken by the Public Health Department of the authority, which warned of stricter measures if the fine is not paid within the stipulated time.

Inspection Findings:
During the inspection, the officials discovered that the cloud kitchen, operated by Chawla Pro Food & Beverage Company, was not maintaining proper cleanliness in the food preparation and storage areas. Wet and dry waste was not being segregated properly, and single-use plastics were being extensively used. Furthermore, the kitchen was found using coal for cooking, in violation of environmental norms.

Officials also observed the presence of mosquitoes and flies, and improper drainage systems, raising serious health concerns. The Public Health Department emphasized that such violations pose risks not only to consumers but also to public health.

Official Statement:
Senior Manager of the Public Health Department, R.K. Sharma, stated, “The cloud kitchen was failing to comply with mandatory hygiene and safety standards. A notice of ₹5 lakh has been served to the management. If the fine is not cleared within one week, strict action will be initiated as per regulations.”

This action by the Noida Authority highlights its commitment to ensuring food safety and proper sanitation standards in commercial kitchens across the city.
