Lucknow: A shocking case has emerged from Uttar Pradesh’s capital, where a music teacher allegedly trapped his student in a relationship, established physical relations with her on the false promise of marriage, and later refused to marry her. The accused, identified as Neeraj Verma, originally from Raebareli, runs a private music class in Lucknow’s Sindhu Nagar area. Police have taken him into custody for questioning following a complaint lodged by the victim at the Krishna Nagar Police Station.
According to the complaint, the victim — a young woman from Prayagraj — used to visit Neeraj’s residence for music lessons. Over time, Neeraj allegedly developed a romantic relationship with her and repeatedly exploited her physically under the pretext of marriage. However, when it came time to fulfill his promise, he refused to marry her, leading to a heated argument between the two just two days ago.
Police Investigation:
Station House Officer P.K. Singh of Krishna Nagar Police Station confirmed that Neeraj Verma was studying music in Lucknow while simultaneously running private coaching classes. The officer added that both the accused and the victim belong to different castes, which became a source of conflict between them.
After the argument escalated, the woman approached the police and filed a formal FIR against Neeraj. The accused has since been taken into custody, and further legal proceedings are underway.
Police have assured that the case will be investigated thoroughly and that appropriate action will be taken under sections related to sexual exploitation and fraud.
