Kanpur Tragedy: Stunt Rider Crushes Bhavika Gupta at 110 km/h, Fatal Injuries Confirmed


Kanpur, UP: A shocking incident in Kanpur has left the city in grief as a young college student, Bhavika Gupta, lost her life after being hit by a stunt-riding biker traveling at 110 km/h. The impact was so severe that her teeth shattered, bones broke, and ribs pierced her lungs, leading to her untimely death.

The Incident

On Thursday evening, Bhavika (23), a final-year BA student at DAV Degree College and an NCC cadet, was riding a scooter with her friend Neha Mishra near Gangabairaj. Suddenly, a biker performing stunts at high speed struck her scooter. The collision threw Bhavika nearly 50 meters along the road. Her scooter was completely destroyed, and the rider, along with his companions, fled the scene.

Medical Details and Post-Mortem Findings

Bhavika was rushed to Halat Hospital, but doctors were unable to save her. The post-mortem report revealed the horrifying extent of injuries:

  • Cranial fractures leading to coma and eventual death
  • Ribs broken and lodged in lungs and heart
  • Multiple fractures in shoulders, arms, legs, and spine
  • Extensive abrasion marks across the body

Family Background

Bhavika was the only daughter of Manish Gupta, a chef from Hotel Landmark in Shuklaganj, Unnao. Her cousin, Ankit Gupta, stated that Bhavika had gone for an evening ride with her friend when the tragedy struck.

Police Action

Following a complaint by Bhavika’s father, Nawabganj Police filed a case against Brijesh Nishad, identified through an Instagram ID found on the bike. Brijesh, along with his friends, is known for performing stunt rides and uploading videos on social media. Police are currently searching for the accused, while the biker and his companion, who sustained injuries, are under treatment at a private hospital.

Public Shock

The incident has sparked outrage over reckless stunt riding and raised concerns about road safety for pedestrians and commuters. Bhavika’s death is a grim reminder of the dangers posed by high-speed stunts in public spaces.
