Delhi Blast Case: Siblings Dr. Parvez Ansari and Dr. Shaheen Under Investigation, Raids Conducted from Lucknow to Saharanpur

Lucknow/Delhi: Following the car blast near Delhi’s Red Fort Metro Station, the investigation has intensified with NIA taking charge of the case. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while in Bhutan, warned of strict action against those responsible for such attacks in the national capital. As part of the nationwide probe, UP ATS and Jammu & Kashmir Police raided the residences of Dr. Parvez Ansari and his sister, Dr. Shaheen, in Lucknow, uncovering crucial leads. Both are siblings, children of Saeed Ansari, who has denied any involvement of his children in terrorist activities.

Family Statement:
Saeed Ansari told reporters, “I have three children. My eldest son Shoaib lives with me. My daughter Shaheen, whom you are referring to, has never been involved in any wrongdoing. I spoke to her a month ago, and I speak to Parvez every week.”

Details of the Raids:
Early Tuesday morning, a joint team of UP ATS and J&K Police reached Dr. Parvez’s residence in the Madiyanv area of Lucknow, conducting an extensive search that lasted several hours. Dr. Parvez was not at home during the raid. Authorities interrogated family members and seized key documents and electronic evidence, including computers, laptops, and mobile phones.

A white Alto car and a Splendor bike were recovered from the premises. The car had an Integral University pass sticker, raising questions about potential links to the alleged terror network. Neighbors stated that Dr. Parvez was reclusive and rarely seen at home. Investigators are also in contact with the university administration to verify his role and activities.

Links to Terror Module:
The raids follow the October 30 arrest of MBBS student Dr. Muzammil Ahmed from Al-Falah University, Faridabad, where authorities recovered explosives, an AK-47, and multiple magazines. During interrogation, Muzammil revealed the involvement of his girlfriend, Dr. Shaheen Shahid, who was later arrested. Weapons were reportedly found in Shaheen’s car trunk. Investigators then identified Dr. Parvez Ansari as a potential associate within this network.

Delhi Blast Overview:
The I-20 car explosion near Red Fort Metro Station killed 9 people and injured more than 19. The blast was powerful enough to damage over 20 vehicles nearby. Preliminary forensics indicate that the explosive used matches the RDX recovered in Faridabad.

Saharanpur Connection:
The network may also involve Dr. Adil from Saharanpur, previously arrested by J&K Police. Dr. Adil’s testimony led to Dr. Muzammil’s arrest, suggesting a possible coordinated network among the three doctors.

Current Status:
Dr. Parvez remains at large, and agencies are tracking him across multiple states. Records seized during the raids, including bank transactions and online communications, are under scrutiny.

Dr. Shaheen’s Background:
Authorities claim that Dr. Shaheen heads the women’s wing of Jaish-e-Mohammed. She previously served as an assistant professor at Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Medical College, Kanpur, before disappearing in 2013. Her marriage to Zafar Hayat ended in divorce in 2015, and she was formally dismissed from her position in 2021. At the time of the Faridabad arrests, she was affiliated with Al-Falah University.

The ongoing investigation continues to unravel the full extent of this terror network, with multiple leads being pursued from Lucknow to Saharanpur.
