
Northern India is experiencing the impact of a Western Disturbance, bringing rain and strong winds across Uttar Pradesh. On 27 January, several districts in western UP, including Meerut, Aligarh, Agra, and Ghaziabad, recorded rainfall, while some areas of Baghpat experienced hail.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted moderate rainfall over many districts in eastern Uttar Pradesh within the next 24 hours. Over 50 districts could experience rainfall accompanied by thunder and hail. Strong winds of 30–40 km/h are also expected across several districts of eastern and western UP. Light fog may occur in some areas in the morning and evening. Recent dry conditions have caused a noticeable drop in minimum temperatures.
City-wise Forecast:
- Noida: Light fog is expected in the morning and evening. Isolated rain with thunder is possible. Maximum temperature: 19°C, Minimum temperature: 9°C. Winds may reach 30–40 km/h.
- Ghaziabad: Similar conditions as Noida, with mostly clear skies and occasional clouds. Maximum temperature: 19°C, Minimum temperature: 9°C.
- Lucknow: Moderate rainfall is likely by evening. Clouds may appear intermittently, with light fog in the morning and evening. Maximum temperature: 22°C, Minimum temperature: 11°C.
- Meerut, Aligarh, Agra, Baghpat: Rainfall has already occurred, with Baghpat seeing occasional hail. Maximum temperatures range from 20°C–21.4°C, and minimum temperatures from 11.3°C–12.4°C.
- Varanasi: Scattered rain with thunder expected, though some areas will remain clear. Maximum temperature: 24°C, Minimum temperature: 11°C.
- Gorakhpur: Moderate rainfall in some areas, mostly clear skies otherwise. Maximum temperature: 21°C, Minimum temperature: 12°C. The influence of the Western Disturbance may continue for the next 24 hours.
