UP Sees Fresh Wave of Transfers: 3 Deputy Superintendents Get New Responsibilities, 1 Transfer Cancelled

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Police Department has reassigned three Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) with new responsibilities. Among them, the transfer of Alok Kumar Jaiswal has been cancelled, and he has been assigned a fresh role. Meanwhile, Jitendra Kumar Pratham has been posted to the PAC in Lucknow.

Under the ongoing reshuffle in the Yogi Adityanath government, transfers are being carried out at multiple levels, from IAS officers to IPS officers, including several positions within the police department.

Alok Kumar Jaiswal’s earlier transfer from DSP, Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment & Promotion Board to DSP, Fatehgarh, has been revoked. He will now continue as DSP at the UP Police Recruitment & Promotion Board. Arun Kumar Singh Dwitiya has been appointed as the new DSP of Fatehgarh, taking over from Jaiswal. Singh was previously posted as Deputy Commandant of the 32nd PAC unit in Lucknow but has now been given a new assignment.

Additionally, Jitendra Kumar Pratham, who was earlier transferred from DSP (South) Gorakhpur to DSP at the UP Police Recruitment & Promotion Board in Lucknow, has now been posted to the PAC in Lucknow.

The reshuffle reflects the state government’s ongoing efforts to optimize leadership placements within the police department.
