UP Roadways Bus Breaks Down at Bisauli Stand, Passengers Forced to Push It Through Chilling Cold

Badaun, UP: A shocking incident unfolded at the Bisauli bus stand in Badaun, Uttar Pradesh, where a state-run UP Roadways bus broke down mid-route, leaving passengers scrambling to get it moving. The incident has sparked widespread criticism of the transport department on social media.

Passengers Forced to Push the Bus

On Wednesday, a bus from the Badaun depot, carrying several passengers including students, left for its scheduled destination. However, near the Bisauli Roadways bus stand on MM Highway, the bus suddenly stopped. Witnesses say the driver and conductor pleaded with passengers, especially some students, to help push the vehicle. With no alternative, passengers braved the biting cold to push the bus. After significant effort, the bus finally restarted and continued its journey.

Video Goes Viral

A bystander recorded the unusual “push parade” and shared it on social media, where it quickly went viral. The incident has raised questions about the maintenance and reliability of UP Roadways buses, which are often touted as providing “better services” by the state transport department.

Transport Department Fails to Respond

Efforts by NBT reporters to reach Assistant Regional Manager Rajesh Pathak of the Badaun depot were unsuccessful, as calls to his official number went unanswered—drawing an ironic parallel to the stranded bus incident.

Public Outrage and Social Media Reactions

This episode has once again highlighted the deteriorating condition of the state-run bus fleet, with many users expressing frustration over outdated vehicles and lack of proper maintenance. The incident has become a trending topic, pointing to the urgent need for upgrades and accountability in the UP Roadways system.
