In a major boost to Uttar Pradesh’s infrastructure and industrial connectivity, the state government has approved the acquisition of 740 acres of land across 16 villages for the construction of a 74-kilometer-long Greenfield expressway linking Noida International Airport to the Ganga Expressway. The decision was announced as part of the state’s supplementary budget, which has allocated ₹1,246 crore for the project.
The new expressway will begin from Siana in Bulandshahr and connect to the Yamuna Expressway near Film City in Yamuna City, providing a seamless corridor for freight, industrial supply chains, and passenger movement. About 21 kilometers of the expressway will pass through the Yamuna Authority area, including a 9-kilometer elevated section, with a 24-meter-wide service road planned through Yamuna City’s Sector Wale area. Land acquisition in these villages is set to commence next month.
The project will be executed by the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA), which will oversee the construction of the access-controlled Greenfield expressway. Officials said the project is expected to significantly enhance industrial logistics, attract investment, and generate employment, while also promoting the development of industrial clusters in the region.
Alongside the expressway, the state government has announced ₹9 crore for health infrastructure improvements in Noida. This includes ₹2 crore for a Super-Speciality Child Hospital and Postgraduate Institute (Child PGI) and ₹7 crore for establishing a medical university in Greater Noida. Existing medical colleges, including JIMS Medical College, will also receive upgrades under this plan.
The Noida Airport–Ganga Link Expressway is being hailed as a game-changing project that will accelerate industrial growth, improve regional connectivity, and position Uttar Pradesh as a strategic hub for investment and trade.
