Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh: The Election Commission of India (ECI) will publish the draft voter list for Uttar Pradesh on 6 January 2026, following the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls. During the SIR process, nearly 2.89 crore voters in the state remained unmapped. The draft list provides citizens an opportunity to verify their names and apply for inclusion if missing.
Timeline and Process
- The SIR process began in Uttar Pradesh on 4 November 2025, with the initial deadline for submission of forms set as 4 December, later extended to 12 December and then 26 December due to logistical challenges.
- The draft voter list, originally scheduled for 31 December 2025, has been postponed to 6 January 2026.
- From 6 January to 27 February 2026, the process of issuing notices to unmapped voters, reviewing claims, and resolving objections will take place.
- The final voter list will be published on 6 March 2026.

Voters can check their names online through the Election Commission of India website: https://eci.gov.in/ or directly at https://electoralsearch.eci.gov.in/. By entering your name or EPIC (Voter ID) number, you can verify your details.
If online verification is not possible, voters can approach their Booth Level Officer (BLO), who maintains a copy of the draft voter list for each polling booth. Political parties’ Booth Level Assistants (BLA) can also provide assistance.
