UP Board Exams 2026: Students and Invigilators to Be Held Accountable if Cash Found in Answer Sheets

Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh: The UP Board Class 10 and 12 exams are scheduled to commence from February 18 and continue until March 12, 2026, with approximately 42,000 students expected to appear at various centers in Noida. The Board has issued strict guidelines to ensure a cheating-free and secure examination environment, emphasizing that any cash found in answer sheets will lead to action against both students and the invigilators present in the examination hall.

Strict Guidelines for Exam Invigilators

The Secretary of the Board of Secondary Education has instructed District Education Officers and exam invigilators to maintain heightened vigilance. Any student found keeping money inside their answer sheet will have the cash deposited in the treasury, and the incident must be reported to the District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) and relevant authorities. Such acts will be treated as exam malpractice under the Examination Act, and strict disciplinary action will follow.

Preventive Measures to Curb Malpractice

Officials have highlighted that in previous exams, students were occasionally found hiding cash in their answer sheets, which not only violates exam rules but also undermines the integrity of the evaluation process. Invigilators are required to thoroughly inspect all answer sheets during exams to ensure no cash is concealed, and any negligence on their part will attract departmental action.

Exam Schedule and Centers

In the district, exams will be conducted across 60 centers, covering both Class 10 and 12 students. Authorities have reiterated that all exam staff must ensure strict adherence to rules, and any lapses will be taken seriously.

With these measures, the UP Board aims to maintain transparency and fairness, ensuring that students’ performance is evaluated purely on merit.
