UP ATS Questions Integral University Officials Over Dr. Parvez, Probes Sudden Resignation Before Delhi Blast

Lucknow, UP: The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) of Uttar Pradesh has intensified its investigation following the Delhi blast, questioning officials at Integral University, Lucknow regarding Dr. Parvez Ahmed Ansari. The inquiry is part of a broader probe into connections with individuals linked to the terror module.

ATS sources confirmed that Dr. Parvez, who recently resigned from Integral University, is reportedly the brother of Dr. Shaheen Saeed, a key accused in the Jaish terror network. The sudden resignation, tendered just three days before the blast, has raised several questions among investigators.

ATS Interrogation at Integral University

On Thursday afternoon, two ATS officers visited Integral University. During the visit, the team questioned the Registrar, Mohammad Harris Siddiqui, and collected detailed information regarding Dr. Parvez’s tenure and activities at the university. Dr. Parvez had served as an Assistant Professor for over four years, joining in 2021. Sources describe him as introverted and reserved, with no close associates on campus.

Sudden Resignation Raises Suspicions

Dr. Parvez submitted his resignation abruptly on November 7, citing a better post and salary elsewhere. He had attended duty on November 6. The timing of his resignation—just three days before the Delhi blast near the Red Fort—has attracted intense scrutiny from ATS officials.

Home Raids and Custody

Following the arrest of Dr. Shaheen Saeed in the Faridabad terror module, ATS conducted a raid at Dr. Parvez’s residence in Lucknow, subsequently taking him into custody. Investigators are also examining possible connections between Dr. Parvez and Dr. Adil, another accused in the terror network.
