Union Budget 2026 Gives Major Boost to Noida; Four Key Sectors Set to Transform the Region

The Union Budget 2026 has brought significant momentum to the development of Noida, Greater Noida and the Yamuna Authority region, with a strong focus on connectivity, industrial growth and high-tech manufacturing. The budget announcements are expected to reshape the economic landscape of the region by accelerating infrastructure projects, attracting investment and generating large-scale employment.

Four major sectors — high-speed rail connectivity, MSMEs and textiles, pharmaceuticals and medical devices, and semiconductors — are set to play a transformative role in the region’s growth story.

High-Speed Rail Corridor to Drive Connectivity and Growth

One of the most impactful announcements in the budget is the Delhi–Varanasi High-Speed Rail Corridor, which will directly benefit Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna City. The first proposed station of the corridor will be located near the Noida International Airport at Jewar.

The rail line will pass along the Noida–Yamuna Expressway and significantly reduce travel time between Delhi and eastern Uttar Pradesh. Surveys and preliminary studies have already been completed, and the project is expected to gain rapid momentum following the budget allocation. Improved connectivity is likely to boost real estate, industrial expansion and employment, positioning Yamuna City as a future major transportation hub.

MSMEs and Apparel Industry to Get a Strong Push

The budget’s emphasis on MSMEs and the textile sector is expected to greatly benefit the developing MSME and apparel clusters in Yamuna City. Land allotment and infrastructure development are already underway in the area.

With government support in the form of affordable credit, technology upgrades and export incentives, small and medium enterprises are expected to set up manufacturing units in large numbers. The apparel cluster, in particular, is expected to generate substantial employment opportunities for local youth and women, strengthening inclusive economic growth.

Medical Device Park to Gain Momentum

The Union Budget has announced an investment of ₹10,000 crore for the pharmaceutical sector, which will directly benefit the Medical Device Park being developed in Yamuna City.

With the inflow of funds, essential infrastructure such as roads, power supply, water facilities and common facility centres will be developed at a faster pace. This is expected to attract domestic and global medical device manufacturers, reduce import dependence and strengthen the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, while also promoting startups and skilled employment in the region.

Semiconductor Policy 2.0: A Game Changer for Noida

The government’s Semiconductor Policy 2.0 is being viewed as a game-changing initiative for Noida and Yamuna City. Preparations are underway to establish North India’s first semiconductor manufacturing plant in the region, to be jointly operated by HCL and Foxconn.

The proposed 46-acre facility is expected to boost high-tech manufacturing, attract supplier companies, establish research centres and create thousands of skilled jobs. Government subsidies and policy support are likely to accelerate the project, positioning the region as a new technology and innovation hub.

A New Growth Chapter for the Region

With strategic investments across infrastructure, manufacturing and advanced technology, Union Budget 2026 is expected to usher in a new phase of development for Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna City, transforming the region into one of North India’s most dynamic economic corridors.
