The journey of love began in Moscow, Russia, in 2023, when Anjali Sharma, the daring mountaineer from Himachal Pradesh, met Yves Kaziyuka, a civil engineer from Rwanda. Their initial friendship blossomed into love, culminating in a marriage conducted according to Indian traditions. The wedding ceremony beautifully reflected Indian culture and customs. Anjali’s personal journey has been inspiring; after the passing of her father in 2009, her mother, Pushpa Sharma, single-handedly raised Anjali and her sister.

Anjali Sharma has achieved remarkable milestones in mountaineering, having conquered prominent peaks in Himachal Pradesh including Deo Tibba, Hanuman Tibba, and Dhauladhar High Peak. She also successfully scaled Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and Mount Elbrus in Russia, wearing traditional Gaddi attire and hoisting the Indian flag. These feats have been recognized by the Golden Book of World Records, bringing global recognition to Gaddi culture.
