Banswara: Husband Stabbed by Brother-in-Law
The first incident occurred on 26 January in Macha village, under Kushalgarh police jurisdiction in Banswara district, Udaipur division. The accused allegedly stabbed his brother-in-law, Rohit (son of Yakub), in the abdomen. The attack caused severe injuries, with Rohit’s intestines reportedly damaged, and he was rushed to Udaipur for urgent medical treatment.

According to family sources, Rohit’s sister had been living separately at her parental home for the past two months due to disputes with her in-laws in Itala. On Monday, Rohit went to the market, where he met his brother-in-law. Attempting to resolve the family dispute peacefully, Rohit tried to persuade the accused to return home with him.

As the two approached Macha village, an argument escalated. The brother-in-law allegedly drew a knife from his pocket and stabbed Rohit in the abdomen, leaving a wound approximately 10 centimeters deep. Rohit fell bleeding at the scene. Villagers intervened, apprehended the attacker, and handed him over to the police.

Jodhpur: Husband’s Nose Cut Off Over Wife’s Second Marriage
The second incident occurred on 25 January in Finch village, under Luni police jurisdiction, Jodhpur district. The accused, angry over his wife’s remarriage, allegedly cut off his brother-in-law’s nose, suspecting him of facilitating the marriage. The attacker then abducted the victim. A video of the incident has emerged showing the accused inside a car displaying the severed nose, prompting police to begin a manhunt.

The accused, Sahiram (26), was married in childhood but the formal ceremony (gauna) had not taken place. About four months ago, his wife remarried another man under Arya Samaj customs. The police continue to investigate the case.
