Two-Day International Janmangal Convention at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi on the Theme “One Fast Every Month”

Ghaziabad/Koderma:
A grand and historic two-day International Janmangal Convention based on the noble concept of “One Fast Every Month” is set to take place on 12–13 December at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The event is being jointly organized by the Antarmana Religious & Philanthropic Trust, inspired by the spiritual movement “Har Maas Ek Upvas,” and Patanjali Yogpeeth, Haridwar.

This world-level spiritual and social congregation will be held under the divine guidance and patronage of the great Jain ascetic, Tapasvi Samrat, Sadhana Mahodadhi, Antarmana Acharya Shri 108 Prasann Sagar Ji Maharaj. Renowned yoga guru Swami Ramdev Ji will also play a significant role in the convention. The event promises to be a unique confluence of spiritual realization and scientific understanding, aimed at global human welfare.

Distinguished Dignitaries and Program Schedule

The convention has been divided into two segments.
On 12 December, the inaugural session will be held in the august presence of Antarmana Acharya Shri 108 Prasann Sagar Ji Maharaj and Swami Ramdev Ji, with Hon’ble Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla as the chief guest. Prominent dignitaries including Union Ministers Shri Nitin Gadkari and Shri Bhupender Yadav, Delhi Chief Minister Mrs. Rekha Gupta, along with several revered saints and spiritual luminaries, will grace the occasion as special guests.

The second day, 13 December, will be dedicated to in-depth discussions on Yoga and Pranayama, highlighting their relevance in physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

Discourses on the Significance of “One Fast Every Month”

Special discourses will be delivered by Tapacharya Antarmana Acharya Shri 108 Prasann Sagar Ji Maharaj on the profound importance of fasting. Acharya Shri has created history by completing the extremely rigorous Utkrist Singh Nishkridit Vrat, undertaken solely for the welfare of humanity.

Notably, he observed 557 days of uninterrupted silence, during which he undertook 496 fasts and only 61 Paranas (breaking of fasts)—a rare and unparalleled spiritual achievement in modern times.

Spiritual Importance of Singh Nishkridit Vrat

According to Jain scriptures, the observance of Singh Nishkridit Vrat endows the practitioner with exceptional spiritual strength, fearlessness like a lion, infinite energy, and supreme inner virtues, ultimately leading the soul toward liberation. Historical references indicate that the soul of Lord Mahavira, in his earlier incarnation as Nandan Muni, and the soul of Lord Neminath, in the form of Supratishtha Muni, had also undertaken such profound vows.

After 2,600 years of Lord Mahavira’s Nirvana, Antarmana Acharya Shri 108 Prasann Sagar Ji Maharaj performed this rarest of penances on the sacred land of Swarnabhadra Koot at Sammed Shikhar Ji, through intense solitude, silence, and austerity. During the convention, the spiritual and scientific significance of this vow will be elaborated in detail.

Global Call for Collective Fasting

The central theme of the Janmangal Convention, “One Fast Every Month,” aims to inspire deep reflection on the impact of fasting on both material and spiritual life. In this spirit, Antarmana Acharya Shri has made a heartfelt appeal to devotees across the globe to observe a one-day fast on 13 December, an initiative that is witnessing enthusiastic participation worldwide.

This historic Janmangal Convention is expected to become a milestone in the global spiritual movement, promoting self-discipline, inner purification, holistic health, and universal welfare.
