
A shocking incident in the Raatibad area near Bhopal has left the local community in grief. A farmer lost his life after being bitten by a venomous snake hiding inside an irrigation pipe in his field. The victim has been identified as Ganpat Mali (37).
According to reports, Ganpat Mali, a resident of Chap Mugaliya, was working in his field on Thursday afternoon, carrying out routine irrigation. While attempting to move a water pipe, a venomous snake coiled inside the pipe struck him on the face. The bite was so severe that Ganpat fell unconscious immediately.
His family rushed him to the hospital amid chaos, where doctors worked tirelessly through the night to save him. Despite their efforts, Ganpat succumbed to the snakebite early Friday morning, as the venom had already taken a fatal toll on his body.
Caution for Farmers: Experts have advised farmers to take safety precautions while working in fields. They recommend wearing long boots and gloves, checking tools and pipes with a stick before handling, and avoiding fieldwork in low light without proper lighting. In case of a snakebite, it is crucial to stay calm and rush the patient to the nearest hospital equipped with anti-venom.
This tragic incident has left the local area in mourning and serves as a stark reminder of the hidden dangers in agricultural fields.
