
Alirajpur, Madhya Pradesh: In a heart-wrenching incident from Adwada village, 30-year-old Nuri Bai has died after a nine-day battle for life in Dahod Hospital, Gujarat, following a shocking act in which she allegedly gave her three children poison-laced tea and then consumed it herself. Tragically, all three children—Savitri (7), Kartik (5), and Divya (3)—had already died before her.
The incident took place on February 13, while Nuri Bai’s husband, Mukesh Bhilala, was away in Gujarat for work. Reports indicate that Nuri Bai first served the tea mixed with pesticide to her children and then drank it herself. The children were immediately hospitalized, but despite medical intervention, all three succumbed to the poisoning. They were collectively cremated on February 14.
Nuri Bai was admitted to Dahod Government Hospital in critical condition. After nine days of struggling between life and death, she passed away on the night of February 21. Ambua police officials were present at the hospital during the post-mortem examination, after which her body was handed over to her family for the last rites.
The motive behind this tragic act remains unclear. Police sources stated that Nuri Bai never regained consciousness, preventing authorities from recording any statement from her. Consequently, the case has become a mystery following her death.
