Tragic Deaths of Husband and Wife in Kushinagar Following Domestic Dispute

Kushinagar, UP: In a shocking incident in Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh, a domestic dispute ended in a double tragedy as a man allegedly murdered his wife and subsequently took his own life. The incident occurred in the Badhai Tola village under the Teriyasujan police station jurisdiction, leaving the local community in shock.

According to reports, the deceased husband has been identified as Arun Sharma, and the wife as Neha Bharti. The couple had married in November 2025 through a love marriage. Villagers revealed that disagreements between the couple had been frequent since the early months of their marriage.

Late on Sunday night, tensions escalated, leading Arun Sharma to allegedly fatally stab Neha Bharti with a sharp kitchen knife. Following the attack, Sharma reportedly hanged himself in a room, resulting in both their deaths.

Neighbors became suspicious when no movement was observed in the house for an extended period. Upon investigation, family members discovered Neha Bharti’s bloodied body on the floor and Arun Sharma hanging nearby. Sources also indicated that the couple’s marriage had not received full family approval, which may have contributed to ongoing tensions.

The Teriyasujan police, upon receiving information, rushed to the scene and took both bodies into custody for post-mortem examination. Senior Superintendent of Police Siddharth Verma also visited the site and confirmed that a thorough investigation has been launched. Preliminary findings suggest the incident stemmed from a domestic dispute, though authorities are probing all aspects of the case.
