Tragic Accident on Lucknow-Kanpur Highway: Entire Family Killed by Speeding Truck

Unnao, UP: In a heartbreaking incident late Wednesday night, a speeding truck collided with a family returning from a wedding on the Lucknow-Kanpur Highway, killing a husband, wife, and their two children. The accident occurred when the truck struck a container and, in an attempt to flee, ran over the family, leaving locals in shock.

The victims belonged to Ajgain town. 35-year-old Gurcharan had attended a wedding in Banthra, Lucknow, along with his family. Returning home, his wife 33-year-old Ritu, their 9-year-old daughter Anuradha, and 6-year-old son Rudra were riding on the same bike, while their 15-year-old elder daughter Nancy was following on a relative’s bike.

Details of the Incident
The family had briefly stopped near Bhalla Farm crossing for a moment when the truck, reportedly moving at high speed, collided with a container nearby. While attempting to escape, the truck ran over the bike carrying the family. All four family members died instantly at the scene. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem.

Ongoing Investigation
The truck driver is currently at large, and police are actively searching to apprehend him. Authorities have appealed to witnesses and residents in the area to provide any information that could aid the investigation.
