A heart-wrenching incident shook Koppal, Karnataka, as a young couple lost their lives in a road accident while returning from their pre-wedding photoshoot. The couple’s wedding was scheduled for 21 December.
The Accident
According to the police, the victims, Kariappa Madival Hanumanhatti (26) and Kavita Pavadeppa Madival (19), were riding a motorcycle back from a scenic photoshoot at Pampavan, Munirabad, Hospet, when a runaway lorry collided with their bike. The impact was devastating: Kavita died instantly at the scene, while Kariappa was critically injured and rushed to Gangavathi Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The couple had been engaged five months ago, and both families were actively preparing for the upcoming wedding. Their untimely deaths have plunged both families into deep grief.

The bodies have been sent for post-mortem, and authorities are investigating the accident. The incident has raised concerns about road safety and the risks posed by heavy vehicles in the region.
