
Hanumangarh, Rajasthan: A tragic accident occurred in Hanumangarh on Monday morning when a bus overturned while trying to avoid a bike on Sangaria Road, resulting in the deaths of three people, including a female school teacher. Several passengers sustained injuries and are receiving treatment.
Accident Details
The accident took place near Mankasar village on Sangaria Road, when a private travel bus was traveling from Hanumangarh to Dabwali. In an attempt to avoid hitting a bike, the bus lost control, collided with a roadside board, and overturned. Two bike riders were trapped under the bus, dying on the spot. They have been identified as Lakhvinder Singh (40) from Nagrana and Bagga Singh, son of Jagdeep Singh (28). Additionally, a government school teacher, Kamaldeep Kaur (35), who was on her way to work, also lost her life in the accident.
Immediate Chaos and Rescue Efforts
The overturning of the bus caused panic among passengers and bystanders, who rushed to help. Approximately a dozen people sustained injuries, with several in serious condition and undergoing treatment at local hospitals.
Authorities Respond Swiftly
Hanumangarh’s Superintendent of Police and District Collector promptly reached the accident site, assessed the situation, and later visited the hospital to oversee the treatment of the injured. The damaged bus caused traffic congestion, which was cleared with the help of a crane, restoring smooth movement on the road.
