
Ballia (Uttar Pradesh):
A tragic road accident late Tuesday night near Parvatpur village in Ballia district claimed the lives of three people and left two others critically injured. The victims were returning home after attending a family function when their speeding Bolero lost control and rammed into a roadside tree.
According to eyewitnesses, the vehicle was moving at high speed when the driver reportedly lost control, resulting in a violent collision. The impact was so severe that the Bolero was completely mangled.
Upon receiving the information, the Bansdih police reached the spot and rushed all five occupants to the district hospital. Doctors declared two of them dead on arrival, while three others were referred to Varanasi’s BHU Hospital due to their critical condition. Unfortunately, one of the injured succumbed to his injuries on the way, raising the death toll to three.
Dr. Sujeet Kumar Yadav, CMS of Ballia District Hospital, said the victims were aged between 19 and 25 years. “Two were brought dead, and others were in serious condition. They were referred to Varanasi for advanced treatment,” he stated.
The deceased were residents of Parvatpur and nearby villages. The accident has cast a pall of grief over the area, with families mourning their untimely loss. Police are conducting a detailed technical examination of the vehicle and awaiting the driver’s blood sample report to determine the cause of the crash.
