
Greater Noida: A car lost control and struck three housekeeping employees at Supertech Ecovillage-2 in Greater Noida West, leaving all injured and hospitalized. The police have taken the driver into custody and launched an investigation into the incident. Residents are demanding stricter security measures.
How the Accident Happened
According to reports, Rahul, a resident of Supertech Ecovillage-2, was taking his car towards the parking ramp on Friday morning when it suddenly went out of control, hitting three housekeeping staff members. The injured were identified as:
- Maniram (40) from Buwara village, District Datia, Madhya Pradesh
- Raju (40) from Silra village, District Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh
- Monika Devi (30) from Gajpura village, District Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh
The injured employees were immediately taken to Vrindavan Hospital, Shahberi, where doctors confirmed that their condition is stable after initial treatment.
Residents Demand Better Safety
Residents and society staff gathered at the scene, expressing anger over the accident. They demanded deployment of security personnel at parking ramps and measures to control vehicle speed to prevent future accidents.
Police Action and Investigation
Local police seized the car and took driver Rahul into custody. Authorities are investigating the circumstances that led to the car losing control, including whether it collided with any other vehicles.
Some society members reported that Rahul was allegedly trying to evade another car near Parthala before entering Ecovillage-2 through Gate No. 2 at high speed, leading to the collision with the housekeeping staff.
The investigation is ongoing, and the police are examining all possible causes of the accident.
