Three Fake Constables Arrested in Barmer After Serving Rajasthan Police for 10 Years

Barmer (Rajasthan): In a shocking revelation, three individuals who allegedly secured jobs in the Rajasthan Police by using dummy candidates during the 2014 recruitment examination have been caught after serving as constables for nearly 10 years.

The matter came to light during an investigation conducted by the Special Operations Group (SOG), which found major discrepancies in their recruitment records. Officials revealed that the signatures on the OMR sheets and admit cards did not match the signatures available in their official service documents, raising serious doubts about their authenticity.

Following the findings, an FIR has been registered against all three constables.

Appointed in 2015, Caught in 2025

According to police sources, the accused were recruited in 2015, but their fraud was detected only after a detailed review of their service records.

The arrested constables have been identified as:

  • Omprakash, son of Hardanararam, resident of Kalanasra Padru, Siwana
  • Gangaram, son of Kesrimal, resident of Dhakon Ka Goliya Kabuli, Dhorimanna
  • Sumermaal, son of Mahavir Prasad, resident of Beekamsara, Sardarshahar (Churu)

Investigators stated that their biometric application forms, OMR sheets and other recruitment-related documents showed clear inconsistencies.

Discrepancies Found in Biometric and OMR Records

Barmer Superintendent of Police Narendra Singh Meena stated that the irregularities were noticed during the verification of service records. He said the mismatch in signatures between official documents and examination records was serious enough to warrant immediate action.

“We found discrepancies in the signatures on recruitment-related documents and initiated prompt action. Such cases will be investigated thoroughly to ensure transparency in the recruitment system,” SP Meena said.

SP Alerted SOG, Detailed Probe Underway

Police sources confirmed that SP Meena had written to the SOG on October 8, 2025, requesting a detailed investigation. Acting on the letter, the SOG began examining records related to the recruitment process.

The investigation is now focused on identifying who appeared in the examination on behalf of the accused and whether a larger network was involved in the fraud.

Crackdown on Recruitment Fraud Intensifies

Over the past two years, Rajasthan has witnessed intensified action against individuals who allegedly secured government jobs through unfair means. Multiple recruitment examinations, including those for Sub-Inspectors, Constables, Teachers, and Class-IV posts, are currently under scrutiny.

Officials said that stricter technical verification and monitoring systems are needed to prevent such fraudulent recruitment practices in the future.

Further Arrests Possible

Authorities have indicated that further arrests may follow as the SOG investigation progresses. The case is being treated as serious, as it raises concerns over the credibility and security of recruitment processes within the police force.
