Thar Stunt Goes Viral in Lucknow; Driver Killed While Clearing Truck Tires

Lucknow: A reckless act of road law violation in Lucknow’s Gomtinagar Vistar area has gone viral on social media, raising serious concerns over public safety. A video circulating online shows a man in a white Mahindra Thar smashing through police barricades and performing dangerous stunts while the vehicle was in motion.

The video, reportedly filmed on G-20 Road, shows the Thar crashing into barricades at high speed. The individual uploaded the footage himself on social media. Inspector Sudhir Awasthi of Gomtinagar Vistar confirmed that the police are working to identify the Thar driver and investigate the incident.

Tragic Accident on Farmer Path
In a related incident, 38-year-old Surendra Kumar Singh, a truck driver from Chhapra, Bihar, lost his life while clearing debris stuck in his truck’s tires on Farmer Path in the BBD area. Surendra was traveling with his friend Pappu Rai from Muzaffarpur to Delhi when two truck tires became obstructed by gravel.

Around 8:30 PM, they stopped near Narendra village to remove the debris. During the process, a speeding vehicle hit Surendra, who was immediately taken to a hospital by his friend with police assistance. Doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Surendra is survived by his wife, Soni, and son, Saurabh. His brother, Virendra, arrived in Lucknow following the news of the accident. Police are currently investigating the speeding vehicle involved in the collision.

The viral Thar stunt and the fatal truck accident underscore growing concerns about road safety and law enforcement in the area. Authorities have urged citizens to report reckless driving and are pursuing leads to identify those responsible.
