Terror Module at Al-Falah University: Umar and Muzammil Exploited Poor, Brainwashed Locals

Faridabad, Haryana: The ongoing investigation into the terrorist module linked to Al-Falah University has revealed disturbing details about how Dr. Muzammil and Umar Un Nabi exploited vulnerable communities in several villages, including Dhauj.

Sources indicate that under the guise of helping poor and helpless patients at the university hospital, the two individuals built deep connections with local residents. They frequently visited patients’ homes under the pretext of checking on their well-being. This allowed them to establish a significant influence not only in Dhauj but also in nearby villages, which they later leveraged for their network operations.

Brainwashing of Locals and Network Expansion

Investigators have found that both Muzammil and Umar Un Nabi also brainwashed some individuals to expand their reach. Families of hospital staff involved in the network confirmed that Muzammil would visit homes after treatment, sometimes staying briefly, and maintain constant contact to offer medical advice. Muzammil, who served as a surgeon in the university’s emergency ward, used these interactions to reinforce loyalty among network members.

Currently, authorities have taken four youths from Dhauj village into custody. The detainees revealed that their initial contact with Muzammil occurred during hospital treatment, and the doctor continued to maintain relations with them, including providing guidance over the phone regarding family health issues.

Impact on University Operations

The fallout from the investigation and ongoing scrutiny by security agencies has disrupted normal university operations. Many staff members are reluctant to come to campus, affecting academic schedules. Students report that they are under strict supervision and have limited freedom to leave campus, as the management claims it is fully occupied with investigation-related matters.

Sources further revealed that the university founder, Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui, allegedly instructed staff to upload false information on the university website, including fake claims regarding NAS and UGC accreditation, worsening the reputational damage. Students expressed concern about their education and future, as classes continue to be affected by the administrative and security disruptions.
