Patna: Former minister and Janta Shakti Party president Tej Pratap Yadav hosted a grand Dahi-Chura feast on the occasion of Makar Sankranti, which saw the attendance of several senior political figures from Bihar. The highlight of the event was the presence of Lalu Prasad Yadav, who personally visited his elder son’s residence to bless him and celebrate the occasion.
However, the absence of his younger brother, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, became a talking point. When asked about it, Tej Pratap, in his trademark humorous style, remarked that his younger brother “wakes up a little late.” Despite being personally invited to the event at Rabri Devi’s residence, Tejashwi did not attend as of the time of reporting.
‘Teju Bhaiya’s Feast Is Bound to Be a Superhit’
Throughout the celebration, Tej Pratap appeared elated and confident. Speaking to the media, he said, “If Teju Bhaiya’s feast is not a superhit, whose would be?” He further expressed that the blessings of his parents are akin to divine support, and with their guidance, he plans to embark on a political journey across Bihar.
Political Leaders Join the Festivities
While Tejashwi remained absent, several other political leaders, including Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha and other NDA members, visited Tej Pratap’s residence to participate in the festivities.
Personal Invitations Ahead of the Event
Tej Pratap had personally visited his mother Rabri Devi’s residence at 10 Circular Road a day before the feast to invite his parents and brother. Lalu Prasad Yadav accepted the invitation and graced the event with his presence, while Tejashwi’s awaited presence did not materialize.
The Dahi-Chura feast, filled with familial warmth and political camaraderie, turned out to be a resounding success, even as Tejashwi’s absence became the subject of light-hearted banter.
