Tej Pratap Yadav Stuns Everyone After Hearing Rahul Gandhi’s Name, Defends PM Modi in Bizarre Statement

Patna: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tej Pratap Yadav, known for his unusual remarks and unpredictable political statements, has once again grabbed headlines—this time due to an awkward and controversial comment made while reacting to allegations surrounding Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

During a media interaction on the issue of the suspension of eight opposition MPs and claims that Rahul Gandhi was not allowed to speak in Parliament, Tej Pratap made a statement that left many political observers surprised.

“Rahul Gandhi Should Suspend Himself,” Says Tej Pratap

When asked about Rahul Gandhi’s allegations, Tej Pratap appeared confused and made a remark that immediately drew attention. He said, “Who is suspending whom? Rahul Gandhi should suspend himself. He should suspend himself first. Everyone is being suspended, so he should suspend himself too.”

The statement quickly went viral, as Rahul Gandhi is not part of the ruling government and therefore has no authority to “suspend” anyone, making Tej Pratap’s comment appear politically misplaced.

Accuses Rahul Gandhi of “Selling the Nation”

The situation escalated further when Tej Pratap was asked about Rahul Gandhi’s claim that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had “sold the country” by signing an agreement with the United States.

In response, Tej Pratap unexpectedly defended Prime Minister Modi and instead attacked Rahul Gandhi. He stated, “Why would PM Modi sell the country? The one who is selling it is sitting in Parliament. Rahul Gandhi is selling the nation. PM Modi is doing good work.”

His remarks were widely seen as contradictory, especially considering his political background and family’s opposition stance.

Comments on Nishant Kumar’s Vrindavan Visit

Tej Pratap also spoke about Nishant Kumar, son of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who recently visited Vrindavan. Offering his blessings, Tej Pratap said Nishant should have gone earlier.

He remarked, “Nishant ji should have visited Vrindavan much earlier. Vrindavan, Mathura, Barsana and Nandgaon—we have already visited long ago. He has just started travelling now. If he had gone earlier, more spiritual glow would have been visible on his face and forehead. It is a good thing. My best wishes to him.”

Political Reactions Expected

Tej Pratap’s comments have triggered discussions in Bihar’s political circles, with many calling his statement politically confusing and controversial. His unexpected praise for PM Modi and attack on Rahul Gandhi has further fueled speculation about his current political positioning.
