Teenage Girl Dies by Suicide After Alleged Harassment in Budaun; Sub-Inspector Suffers Fatal Heart Attack During Post-Mortem Duty

A deeply distressing incident has emerged from Budaun district of Uttar Pradesh, where a 15-year-old minor girl allegedly died by suicide after being repeatedly harassed, while a police sub-inspector escorting her body for post-mortem also passed away due to a sudden heart attack, adding another tragic dimension to the case.

The incident took place in Chhatuiya village under the Ujhani police station area. According to the family, the teenage girl had been facing continuous harassment from two local youths, identified as Anmol and Kanhaiya.

Alleged Harassment Led to Extreme Step

Family members stated that on Sunday evening, the girl had gone to a nearby field to collect fodder when the accused allegedly caught hold of her and molested her. Hearing her screams, relatives rushed to the spot, but the accused managed to flee.

The family further alleged that the youths had been harassing the girl for a long time. When the matter was raised earlier, the accused’s family allegedly threatened and verbally abused the victim’s family, forcing them into silence. Overcome by fear, humiliation, and mental trauma, the girl reportedly fell into depression and later ended her life by hanging late at night.

Police Action Underway

Upon receiving information, the police reached the spot, took the body into custody, and sent it for post-mortem examination. An investigation has been initiated, and statements of the family members are being recorded. The police are examining all allegations and assured strict action based on the findings.

Tragedy Strikes Again: Sub-Inspector Dies on Duty

In a shocking turn of events, Sub-Inspector Kunwarpal (55), who was part of the police team escorting the body for post-mortem, suddenly complained of severe chest pain at the post-mortem house. He collapsed on the spot and was rushed to the district hospital by fellow officers, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. Preliminary reports indicate that he died of a heart attack.

The deceased officer was a native of Narora in Bulandshahr district. His sudden demise has sent shockwaves through the police department and left his family and colleagues in deep mourning.

Atmosphere of Grief

The twin tragedies have cast a pall of gloom over the village and the police fraternity alike. While the community mourns the loss of a young life allegedly driven to suicide by harassment, the unexpected death of a police officer in the line of duty has further intensified the sorrow.
