Teen Brother Kills Sister’s Boyfriend After Marriage Refusal in Delhi, 20-Year-Old Stabbed to Death

New Delhi: A shocking murder case has surfaced from West Delhi’s Tilak Vihar area, where a 20-year-old युवक की चाकू से गोदकर हत्या कर दी गई. The victim, identified as Shivam (20), was allegedly stabbed multiple times by a minor boy, reportedly enraged after Shivam refused to marry his sister.

According to police officials, the incident took place on Monday night around 9:30 PM in the 80 Gaj Colony near Tilak Vihar police outpost. Shivam, who lived in the same locality with his family, got into an argument with the minor, following which the accused attacked him brutally with a knife.

Shivam was rushed to Deen Dayal Upadhyay (DDU) Hospital in Hari Nagar, but doctors declared him brought dead.

Police Recover Knife, Minor Accused on the Run

Confirming the case, DCP West Sharad Bhaskar stated that the police received information about the stabbing late Monday evening. A team was immediately dispatched to the spot, where they found the victim critically injured.

“The crime team was called for investigation, and the knife used in the crime has been recovered. Preliminary inquiry suggests that the accused is a minor. He is currently absconding and efforts are underway to trace him,” the DCP said.

Family Claims Murder Was Planned as Revenge

The victim’s family has alleged that the murder was committed as an act of revenge. Shivam’s mother claimed that the accused’s sister was close to her son, and her family had been pressuring him to marry her.

She said that Shivam had clearly refused the proposal, which angered the girl’s family. According to the mother, even a local panchayat meeting was held earlier, where both families had decided to cut off all communication. However, tensions reportedly continued.

“He kept screaming for help, but no one came forward. My son was killed mercilessly,” Shivam’s grieving mother said.

Victim’s Sister Recalls Their Close Friendship

Shivam’s sister revealed that the two families knew each other well as they lived next to each other. The victim and the girl had developed a friendship over time, and their families had regular interaction.

“If my brother had agreed to marry her, this would not have happened. Their house is right next to ours, so they became friends. We used to visit each other,” she said.

Family Demands Strict Punishment

The victim’s family is devastated and has demanded strict action. They are urging the authorities to ensure the accused receives the harshest punishment possible.

The Tilak Nagar police station has registered a case and is currently investigating all angles. Search operations are ongoing to arrest the juvenile accused.
