The Incident:
The incident dates back to 24th April 2025, when the then District Basic Education Officer conducted a surprise inspection at the Primary School, Nagla Taj, in the Baldev block. During the inspection, the teacher in charge, Saran Sujan, who was serving as the Headmaster, was found absent. In response, the BSA immediately suspended him and ordered the Block Education Officer (BEO) of Raya to investigate the matter and submit a report. The BEO, after investigation, issued a notice to Saran Sujan, giving him seven days to present his side of the story.

The Bribe Attempt:
On 5th January 2026, while working in her office, the current BSA, Ratan Kirti, was approached by teacher Saran Sujan. He pressured her to reinstate him by offering a bribe. In a shocking turn of events, Sujan sat on the floor near the BSA’s desk and attempted to offer a bribe in exchange for his reinstatement.

When BSA Ratan Kirti realized what was happening, she immediately called for her staff and had the teacher removed from her office. Sujan was then issued a notice and directed to face departmental action. The BSA also reported the entire incident to the state government.
