Sunny Deol Superfan Tea Seller Buys Entire Show of ‘Border 2’ for His Neighbourhood in Madhya Pradesh

Khargone (Madhya Pradesh):In an inspiring display of passion and patriotism, Vijay Verma, a tea seller from Kasrawad town in Khargone district, won hearts by booking an entire cinema show of Sunny Deol–starrer ‘Border 2’ and treating people from his neighbourhood to the film—entirely at his own expense.

Vijay, who runs a modest tea stall near the new bus stand, is a die-hard fan of patriotic films, particularly those featuring Sunny Deol. Despite his limited income, his love for cinema and nationalism has turned him into a local icon.

Tiranga Rally Before the Movie Show

Before the screening, Vijay organised a tricolour rally, gathering youths and residents and marching them to the theatre amid patriotic slogans and high spirits. The procession created a festive, nationalistic atmosphere across the town, drawing admiration from onlookers.

For the screening of Border 2, Vijay spent around ₹5,000 on tickets, ensuring that everyone who joined the rally could watch the film together.

Earlier Spent ₹38,000 on ‘Gadar 2’

This is not the first time Vijay has taken such an initiative. In 2023, on the opening day of ‘Gadar 2’, he reportedly spent nearly ₹38,000 from his own pocket to show the film to hundreds of people. That gesture had also sparked a wave of enthusiasm and patriotism among local youth.

“Patriotism on Screen Inspires the Youth”

Speaking about his motivation, Vijay said that when Sunny Deol performs in patriotic films, it is not just acting but a reflection of sacrifice, courage and love for the nation, which deeply inspires young audiences.

Local resident Sawan Verma, who attended the screening, said the experience—much like during Gadar 2—was thrilling. “The rally, the slogans and watching the film together made it unforgettable,” he said.

A Local Hero

Earning his livelihood by selling tea, Vijay Verma has shown that patriotism does not depend on wealth, but on intent. His repeated efforts have transformed routine movie screenings into powerful community events, making him a symbol of passion, generosity and national pride in Kasrawad.
