Sub-Inspector Caught Red-Handed Taking ₹70,000 Bribe in Hardoi; Anti-Corruption Team Acts Swiftly

Hardoi: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has caught Sub-Inspector Akash Kaushal of Madhoganj Police Station red-handed while accepting a bribe of ₹70,000. Following the arrest, Kaushal was taken to Sandi Police Station, where a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act is being registered. The action has sent shockwaves through the police department.

Details of the Bribery Case
According to sources, SI Akash Kaushal was investigating a case when he allegedly demanded ₹70,000 from an individual to influence the investigation in their favor and submit a favorable report. The victim lodged a complaint with the Anti-Corruption Bureau, prompting a swift response.

Trap Operation by Anti-Corruption Team
Upon receiving the complaint, the ACB planned a trap operation. At the designated time, the victim delivered the bribe amount to SI Kaushal. As soon as the transaction took place, the ACB swooped in and caught him in the act. The entire bribe amount was recovered from the scene.

Aftermath and Police Reaction
Following the arrest, Kaushal was escorted to Sandi Police Station for formal legal proceedings. ACB officials confirmed that the operation was carefully planned following the victim’s complaint.
