Unnao: The survivor of the infamous Unnao rape case has released another video appeal, accusing the daughters and supporters of convicted former MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar of deliberately exposing her identity and maligning her character on social media platforms.
In the video, which surfaced on Saturday, the survivor alleged that a sustained campaign is being run to harass her mentally and socially by revealing her identity, despite legal protections granted to sexual assault victims. She said false narratives are being spread to defame her character and intimidate her into silence.
“If They Have Evidence, Let Them Submit It to Investigating Agencies”
The survivor questioned repeated claims made by Sengar’s family members that they possess “solid evidence” against her. “If they truly have any evidence, why is it not being submitted to the investigating agencies or the court? The truth is that whatever evidence existed has already been placed before the judiciary,” she said.
She further alleged that the social media campaign is aimed at influencing public opinion and pressuring the judiciary.
Allegations of Pressure Through Public Mobilisation
Referring to a proposed protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on December 11, the survivor claimed that the event is being projected as a demonstration but is, in reality, a show of strength intended to intimidate the judiciary. She alleged that the purpose of the mobilisation is to create pressure on the Chief Justice of India (CJI) to influence judicial decisions in favour of the accused.
Concerns Over Political Grooming
The survivor also alleged that Aishwarya Sengar, daughter of Kuldeep Singh Sengar, is being projected as a political figure to carry forward her father’s political legacy ahead of the 2027 elections. She questioned claims made by Aishwarya in media interviews about having a small family, stating that large numbers of supporters continue to appear publicly in her name.
Emotional Appeal for Dignity and Safety
In an emotional plea, the survivor said:
“Aishwarya, you may become a big leader—my best wishes to you. But please stop your supporters from destroying my character. Stop this mental rape. If you want me to survive in this world, end this harassment.”
She added that she is fighting alone for justice and reminded that she too is a mother.
“I have a daughter and a son. We are fighting this battle alone, only for justice,” she said.
The video has once again brought attention to concerns over victim safety, identity protection, and post‑trial harassment, raising serious questions about accountability on social media and the need for stronger enforcement of victim protection laws.
