A 15-year-old state-level cricketer, Thakur Kundan Singh, died under suspicious circumstances after falling from the balcony of a residential apartment in Saya Gold Avenue Society, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, on Friday morning.
According to police, the teenager fell from the second-floor balcony of the society and was rushed to a private hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Incident Occurred During Cricket Practice
ACP Indirapuram Abhishek Srivastava said that Kundan was practising bowling on the balcony of the flat where he lived with his mother. During practice, the ball reportedly fell down from the balcony. When Kundan leaned forward to retrieve it, he allegedly lost his balance and fell, sustaining fatal injuries.
His mother, who was inside the house preparing breakfast, repeatedly called out to him but received no response. When she went to the balcony and did not find him there, she looked down and saw him lying in a blood-soaked condition on the ground below.

The distressed family immediately informed relatives and the police. Kundan was taken to a nearby private hospital by police personnel, but doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
The incident left the mother in shock, while family members rushed to the spot soon after receiving the information.
Family Declines Post-Mortem
Police officials stated that the family refused to conduct a post-mortem examination and later performed the last rites in Mitli village of Baghpat district, where the family originally hails from.
ACP Srivastava added that the deceased’s father, Pradeep Chaudhary, is the Chairman of a Sugarcane Cooperative Society in Baghpat. No formal complaint has been filed so far, and police have not registered an FIR in the absence of a written complaint.
