
Noida: With the arrival of spring, Noida is set to witness a vibrant celebration of nature as a grand Flower Show begins today at Shivalik Park in Sector-33. The floral exhibition will continue till 22 February, and the best part is that entry for visitors is completely free.
The official inauguration ceremony will be held today at 2:00 PM, which will be attended by the local Member of Parliament along with other dignitaries. The park has been beautifully decorated with colourful flowers, ornamental plants, artistic floral designs, and attractive lighting arrangements, making it a major attraction for residents and visitors alike.
According to the Noida Authority, this year’s flower show promises greater creativity and diversity compared to previous editions. Theme-based floral structures have been specially designed, drawing large public interest. One of the main highlights of the exhibition is a stunning replica of the Kedarnath Temple, created entirely using flowers, offering visitors a unique blend of spirituality and aesthetic beauty.
The show features several rare varieties of flowers from across India and abroad. Visitors will get to see a wide range of seasonal and exotic flowers including roses, marigolds, orchids, petunias, dahlias, lilies, and many other colourful species.
Apart from the floral display, the event also includes gardening-related stalls, where people can purchase plants, seeds, fertilizers, and gardening equipment. Experts will also be available to guide visitors on home gardening, seasonal flower cultivation, and plant care techniques.
To add a festive touch, painting and drawing competitions will be organised for children, making the event a perfect outing for families.
Greater Noida Flower Exhibition from 26 February
Meanwhile, another large-scale flower exhibition is set to begin in Greater Noida at Samrat Mihir Bhoj Park (City Park) from 26 February to 1 March. Preparations for the event are in the final stages. Officials stated that the exhibition will showcase more than one lakh seasonal flowers.
The Greater Noida event will feature impressive floral creations including figures of popular superheroes like Iron Man, Superman, and Spider-Man, which are expected to be a major attraction for children and youth. Additionally, a magnificent replica of the Red Fort will also be displayed, decorated entirely with flowers.
Officials from the Horticulture Department said that special arrangements have been made for children. A floral structure of the popular cartoon character Naruto will also be showcased. Cultural programs will be organised throughout the four-day event, creating a lively and festive atmosphere.
