
JAIPUR: Devotees planning a New Year pilgrimage to the world-famous Tirupati Balaji Temple have a reason to rejoice. The North Western Railway has announced a new weekly special train service connecting Tirupati and Hisar, providing direct rail connectivity to several districts of Rajasthan, including the Shekhawati region.
According to Shashi Kiran, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Western Railway, the new service will not only make religious journeys more convenient but will also strengthen trade, employment, and travel links with major cities in South India. The announcement is being hailed as a special gift for Rajasthan residents this New Year.
Train Schedule
- Tirupati to Hisar (Train No. 07717): Weekly special from 31 Dec 2025 to 11 Feb 2026 (7 trips). Departure from Tirupati every Wednesday at 11:45 PM, arriving in Hisar on Saturday at 2:05 PM.
- Hisar to Tirupati (Train No. 07718): Weekly special from 4 Jan 2026 to 15 Feb 2026 (7 trips). Departure from Hisar every Sunday at 11:15 PM, arriving in Tirupati on Wednesday at 11:30 AM.
Stations on the Route
The train will halt at key stations across multiple states:
- Andhra Pradesh: Renigunta, Rajampeta, Kadapa, Yerraguntla, Tadipatri, Gutti, Guntakal, Don, Kurnool City
- Telangana: Gadwal, Mahbubnagar, Jadcherla, Kachiguda, Malakajgiri, Medchal, Kamareddi, Nizamabad, Basar
- Maharashtra: Dharmabad, Mudkhed, Nanded, Purna, Basmat, Hingoli, Washim, Akola, Shegaon, Malkapur, Bhusawal, Jalgaon, Dharangaon, Amalner, Nandurbar
- Gujarat: Udhna, Vadodara
- Madhya Pradesh: Ratlam, Mandsaur, Neemuch
- Rajasthan: Chittorgarh, Bhilwara, Bijaynagar, Nasirabad, Ajmer, Kishangarh, Phulera, Ringas, Sikar, Nawalgarh, Jhunjhunu, Chidawa
- Haryana: Loharu
- Rajasthan: Sadulpur
Finally, the train will reach Hisar in Haryana.
Coach Composition
For passenger convenience, the special train will have a total of 22 coaches, including 14 Third AC, 6 Second Sleeper, and 2 Power Cars.
This special train service is expected to significantly ease travel for Rajasthan devotees planning their New Year visit to Tirupati, blending spiritual devotion with comfort and convenience.
