
Patna, February 14, 2026: Devotees from Bihar have a golden opportunity to embark on a spiritual journey to Maharashtra with a special train announced by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC). Starting from March 28, this eight-day pilgrimage will take passengers to three major Jyotirlingas, Shirdi Sai Baba Temple, and the Shani Shingnapur Temple. The all-inclusive package covers accommodation, meals, local transportation, and travel insurance.
According to IRCTC Regional Manager Rajesh Kumar, the train will commence from Dhanbad in Jharkhand and pass through key stations in Bihar including Patna, Gaya, Rajgir, and Ara. Pilgrims will have the opportunity to visit the sacred temples of Trimbakeshwar, Bhimashankar, and Grishneshwar Jyotirlingas, along with the Shirdi Sai Baba Mandir and the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Ellora Caves.
Pilgrimage Highlights
The special train tour will include visits to major spiritual and cultural centers in Maharashtra such as Shirdi, Nasik, Pune, and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad). Devotees will experience the religious significance of the Jyotirlingas, witness the revered Shani Shingnapur Temple, and explore the architectural marvel of the Ellora Caves.
Affordable Packages Across Three Classes
IRCTC has designed three budget-friendly categories for the pilgrimage:
- Economy Class: ₹16,495 per person
- Standard Class: ₹29,915 per person
- Comfort Class: ₹36,635 per person
The “all-inclusive” package ensures that all travel, accommodation, meals, guided tours, local transportation, and travel insurance are taken care of once the payment is made.
Boarding Stations in Bihar
The special train begins its journey from Dhanbad and offers convenient boarding for passengers from various districts of Bihar. Pilgrims can board the train at Patna, Gaya, Rajgir, Ara, and DDU (Mughal Sarai) stations, making it accessible to a wide range of travelers across the state.
