Son Forced to Carry Ailing Father on His Shoulders Inside Guna District Hospital; No Stretcher, Lift Out of Order, Staff Unresponsive

Guna (Madhya Pradesh): A shocking case of negligence and mismanagement has surfaced from the Guna District Government Hospital, where a young man was allegedly forced to carry his seriously ill father on his shoulders while searching for medical assistance, as no stretcher or immediate help was provided by the hospital staff.

The incident has raised serious questions about the condition of public healthcare facilities and the lack of basic support for patients in government hospitals.

No Stretcher Provided, Son Left Helpless

According to reports, Munesh Raghuvanshi arrived at the district hospital with his father, whose health condition was deteriorating. Due to the severity of his father’s illness, Munesh carried him on his shoulders to the hospital in the hope of urgent treatment.

However, upon reaching the hospital, he was unable to find a stretcher. Left with no option, the son reportedly continued wandering through the hospital premises, carrying his father and seeking help from hospital authorities.

Witnesses claimed that despite the visible struggle of the patient’s family, no ward boy or hospital staff stepped forward to assist.

Lift Found Closed, Patient Taken to Second Floor via Ramp

After considerable delay, Munesh managed to arrange a stretcher. But his ordeal did not end there. He was informed that the patient would be treated on the second floor. When he attempted to use the lift, he found it non-functional.

With no support available, Munesh reportedly pushed the stretcher alone through the ramp to reach the second floor, again without any assistance from the hospital’s ward staff.

Ward Boys Allegedly Ignored the Situation

Munesh alleged that even after reaching the second floor, no ward boy came to help despite repeated requests. Reports suggest that the hospital has around 15 ward boys posted, with duty arrangements across three shifts. Yet, none were available when needed.

Patient Suffers from Hypertension

Munesh stated that his father is a hypertension patient and required immediate medical attention. He expressed disappointment over the lack of basic medical facilities and support, claiming that the hospital staff remained indifferent throughout the incident.

Incident Sparks Anger Over Hospital Mismanagement

The incident has triggered outrage among locals, highlighting the poor condition of government healthcare services and the urgent need for better patient management systems, functional equipment, and accountable hospital staff.
