Son Declares Father Dead, Conducts Funeral While He Was Alive in Haryana Over Property Dispute

A shocking incident has emerged from Yamunanagar district in Haryana, where a son allegedly declared his father dead and conducted his funeral while the man was still alive. The victim himself has come forward to report the matter.

Father Reveals Shocking Details
According to the father, his son took this extreme step with the intent of claiming family property. Disturbingly, the father discovered that not only had funeral rites been conducted in Haridwar, but his name had also been officially recorded as deceased in the priests’ registers. The victim, Mamchand, has lodged a written complaint with SP Kamaldeep Goyal, alleging that several people, along with his son Mahesh, were involved in this conspiracy.

Mamchand shared that his wife passed away two years ago. He has two sons and a daughter, all married, and separate houses had been allotted to both sons. However, Mahesh’s behavior had reportedly been problematic for some time, leading to frequent quarrels, and he was eventually asked to leave the family home.

Son Spreads Rumor While Father Is Away
The father had moved to Vikasnagar in Uttarakhand for work as a mason, distressed by his son’s harassment. During this period, Mahesh allegedly spread false news of his father’s death in the village, organized rituals, and socially declared him dead.

Mahesh, on the other hand, denied all allegations, claiming that his father was an alcoholic and had behaved inappropriately towards his mother. He dismissed the property dispute and denied the Haridwar ritual claim but admitted that he had chosen to sever ties with his father.

The police have registered a complaint and launched an investigation to determine whether this shocking incident was motivated by property greed or family discord.
